Christmas BAKLAVA


*Ingredients:

°1/2 pounds of chopped pecans
°1/2 pounds of chopped nut
°2-3 tablespoons. Ground cinnamon
°1 pound filo paste
°1-1/2 cup melted butter
°2-1/2 cup honey
°1 teaspoon. Vanilla
°1 teaspoon. Grated lemon peel

*Methods 

1) Mix the nuts together in a large bowl and stir the ground cinnamon. Set aside.

2) 9 × 13 inch baking dish butter.
Place 2 sheets of filo in the bottom of the prepared dish. Brushing with melted butter.

3) Sprinkle 2-3 tablespoons of nut mixture on top. Repeat layers until all nuts, butter and filo are used.

4) Finish with about 6 layers of filo on top. If you still have some remaining butter, brush it over the top layer.

5) Using a very sharp knife, cut all layers of baklava. Cut 3-4 slices length.
6) Then make diagonal pieces to make diamond shapes.

7) Bake in a 350 ° heated oven for 45 minutes, until golden and crisp.

8) While baking the baklava, heat the honey in a saucepan until close to boiling. Stir into vanilla and lemon peel.

9) When the baklava is baked, pour the honey mixture over it immediately.

10) Let it cool completely in the pan.
