*Ingredients
°1 lb lean beef, ground
°1 large egg
°½ cup bacon, chopped
°¼ cup breadcrumbs
°2 tablespoons olive oil
°½ onion, diced
°1 teaspoon garlic powder
°1 cup flour
°Salt and pepper to taste
+For the sauce:
°1 onion, chopped
°1 cup beef broth
°¼ cup flour
°1 cup of water
°½ tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
°1 package brown gravy mix
°2 cups mushrooms, sliced
°Salt and pepper to taste
*How to make
In a bowl, combine all the ingredients for the patties except the olive oil and flour.
Shape the mixture into 4 equal sized beef patties.
Dip patties in flour and cook in oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until golden brown. Removing patties from the skillet.
Adding onions to skillet and sauté to softened.
Stir in the flour, then add the broth, Worcestershire sauce and sauce mixture slowly.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir in the mushrooms and return the patties to the pan.
Simmer covered for 20 minutes.
