Baked ribs with bone

*You will need:

+Ribs:

°2 to 2 1/2 pounds pork chops

°Salt and black pepper

°Sweet and Spicy BBQ Sauce

°1 tablespoon olive oil

°1/4 cup onion, diced

°1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

°1/2 cup ketchup, try our homemade ketchup recipe

°1 tbsp hot chili sauce (siracha suggestion)

°2 teaspoons brown sugar

°1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

°Salt & ground pepper, to taste

*Directions:

-Prepare the ribs:

-Heat the oven to 275° Fahrenheit (135°C).

-If the ribs still have the thin membrane covering the back of the support, remove it. See how in the notes section below.

-Season both sides of the ribs with a generous amount of salt and pepper. If using a spice blend, add the ribs with it. Place ribs meat side down in a large roasting pan or rimmed baking sheet. (The ribs may need to be cut in half to fit in the pan).

-Cover pan or baking sheet tightly with foil, then cook until meat pulls easily from bones, 2½ to 3½ hours. We like to check the ribs after 2 hours to see how they are progressing. Ribs are done when the meat is cooked through and tender.

-Prepare the barbecue sauce:

-While the ribs cook, cook the barbecue sauce. Heat olive oil in a saucepan on medium heat.

-Add the onions and cook until soft and translucent, 5 to 8 minutes. Add the cumin and cook for 30 seconds.

-Add ketchup, hot chili sauce, brown sugar and cider vinegar.

-Mix well, salt and cook for 2 minutes. Reserve for the ribs to cook.

-Finally, remove the ribs from the oven, discard the foil and generously brush both sides

Enjoy !
