Pepperjack meatloaf recipe

1 egg


1 cup of seasoned rusk


1/4 cup yellow onion, finely chopped


1 teaspoon of salt


1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper


2 lbs lean ground beef


1 cup grated pepper jack cheese

*How to make this recipe



Preheat oven 350 degrees F


In a large bowl, combine eggs, bread crumbs, onion, salt, and pepper.


Add the minced meat to the mixture and mix well. Place half of the meat mixture in the bottom of a greased loaf pan. Sprinkle 3/4 cup of the pepper jack cheese over the meat up to 1/2 inch from the sides. Press remaining beef mixture over cheese.


Bake, uncovered, for 50-55 minutes or until the meat is no longer pink. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the meatloaf and bake for an additional 5 minutes, until the cheese melts.


Let the meatloaf stand for 10 minutes before slicing it. Serve this dish with chutney, if desired
